    Hosea Kutako International Airport - Windhoek
    Windhoek HOSEA KUTAKO International Airport is situated 45 km east of Windhoek. Shuttles, taxis and car rental agencies provide transportation to the city centre from HKI Airport. Journey time is 30 minutes.
               

    HKI has one terminal which provides facilities for travelers such as a bank, post office, international telephone call and fax facility, a restaurant and bar, and a duty-free shop,car rentals,shops, taxis and buses during airport hours.

     
       
    Eros Airport - Windhoek
    Windhoek also has a smaller airport, the Eros Municipal Airport, which is the operational base for Air Namibia's domestic flights. It is located 5 km south of the Windhoek city centre. The distance between Hosea Kutako International Airport and Eros Airport is 45 km. Taxis and shuttles, as well as Car rentals are readily available.  A Restaurant is available during airport hours.

    • 3 hours prior to departure - Intercontinental departures


    Departures from Johannesburg
    • 1 and a half hours prior to departure - morning flights
    • 2 hours prior to departure - afternoon flights

    Departures from Cape Town: 2 hours prior to departure

    Departures from Luanda: 2 and a half hours prior to departure

    Departures from Frankfurt: 3 hours prior to departure

    Baggage

    Free Luggage
    We allow per passenger, 20 kg for Economy Class and 30 kg for Business Class passengers. Infants not occupying a seat are entitled to a free baggage allowance of 10 kg.

    Hand Luggage
    In Economy Class one piece of hand luggage not exceeding (55x40x20 cm) or 7 kg is allowed.
    In Business Class each passenger is only allowed one piece of hand luggage (except ex LGW). This is imposed by the airport authority for security reason.

    At certain International Airports a Luggage frame is available to check the admissible size of hand luggage. Passengers that are in possession of oversized luggage are requested to check in these luggage items at the check in counters. Please check your hand luggage size beforehand, and if necessary check it in with your other luggage.

    Special Luggage
    AIR NAMIBIA offers it passengers the transport of one Golfbag of up to 15 kg, or one rifle case for hunters not exceeding 10 kg. We kindly request our passengers to notify us of any Special Luggage that they will carry.

    Lost Luggage
    In the unlikely event that your luggage should not reach its intended destination, report this immediately at the "Lost & Found" counter of your destination airport.
       

    Lounges
               

    At all international airports AIR NAMIBIA passengers travelling Business Class will have access to our generous Lounges. In Frankfurt passengers are invited to make use of the Lufthansa Business Class lounge and in London Gatwick, passengers are invited to the Aviance Business Lounge.

     
       
    In Johannesburg and Cape Town passengers are welcome to make use of the British Airways Business Class Lounge. Business Class Passengers in Windhoek are welcome to enjoy the hospitality of the Oshoto Business Class lounge at Hosea Kutako Airport.
